A thermal stay in Devin

Day 1 (Saturday) : France – Sofia – Plovdiv

Arrival at Sofia airport where we will welcome you. Transfer to Plovdiv (165 km). Dinner out and accommodation in a 3* hotel.

Day 2 (Sunday): Devin

Breakfast and departure for the famous thermal city of Devin (125km). Accommodation in a little family hotel.

During 4 days, you will benefit fully from your stay while choosing either to relax or among the numerous activities suggested by the hotel. We will be entirely at your disposal for excursions and walks in the surroundings.

Optional excursions:

Smolyan (to 36 km)

Visit of the old town and its typical houses from the time of the National Awakening. Passage on the Arched Bridge of the river Tcherna (the black river). Continuation to the visit of the Planetarium of Smolyan, the biggest in Bulgaria. Stop in the Art Museum of Sredna Gora (or the Art gallery of the city , at your choice). Also in option the discovery of the Lakes Smolyan called “the emerauld eyes of the Rhodopes”.

The Yagodina cave

The way to the cave passes on the green roads of the Rhodopes mountain. Only 2 km away, the “Bridge of the devil” is a rock formation for which the legends say that only the devil can pass . With its 10km of labyrinths, it is the longest cave of the Rhodopes. An underground crossing will reveal you the secrecies of this different and so spectacular world that already existed some billions of years ago.

Pamporovo (to 44 km)

It’s the second most prestigious and most famous winter resort in Bulgaria and boasts the highest tops of the Rhodopes. It is the sunniest resort, but that however doesn’t prevent it from keeping snow cap all through the winter season.

The natural reserve of Dospat (to 37 km)

Located at 1200m in the mountain of Rhodopes, it is the highest natural reserve in Bulgaria. Nature is simply majestic there.

Day 6 (Thursday): Plovdiv

Breakfast in the hotel and departure for Plovdiv . Walk tour in the city. Discovery of the central street with its boutiques and shops for souvenirs. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. Continuation to the old city and its XVIII century multicoloured small houses. Special dinner in a very famous restaurant in Plovdiv. Night in 3-star hotel in the centre.

Day 7 (Friday): Sofia-France

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport of Sofia according to the schedule of your return flight.
If the schedule of the flight allows it, a walk in the capital will be proposed to you.
