Day 1 (Saturday): Sofia - Plovdiv

Arrival at the airport of Sofia where we will welcome you. Transfer to Plovdiv (165 km). Accommodation in a hotel 3*. Dinner in a restaurant and night in the hotel.

Day 2 (Sunday) The must – sees of the city:

After breakfast, visit of Maritza river and the International Fair of Plovdiv. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Continuation for the visit of the Olympic channel, the place of the Union and the commercial pedestrian bridge of Maritza and finally, the central street of the city with the park “Kniaz Aleksandar Batenberg”. Dinner in a restaurant and night in the hotel.

Day 3 ( Monday): The Monastery of Bachkovo (28km):

Breakfast. Departure for Assenovgrad and Bachkovo. Visit of the Monastery of Bachkovo, the second biggest in Bulgaria. It draws the attention of tourists not only with its exceptional architecture and its richly decorated walls, but also with its numerous icons in the inside, among which that of the Blessed Virgin.Lunch in a local restaurant famous for its long “kebebcheta”. Continuation for the visit of the ruins of the Tsar Assen’s fortress, perched on a hill and offering a breathtaking view over the town of Assenovgrad. Return to Plovdiv. Dinner in a restaurant. Night in the hotel.
In option: a night out in bar and discovery of the city by night.

Day 4 (Tuesday): The old city

After breakfast departure for the old part the town of Plovdiv. Visit to the Romain Stage, the square of painters - the Djumaya, the Church of the Blessed Virgin, the Romain amphitheatre, the house of Lamartine and the Ethnographic Museum. After lunch in a typical restaurant in the old city, continuation of the walking tour: the Museum Zlatiu Boyadjiev, the Museum of the Modern history and the house Balabanov and Hindyliyan. Dinner in a restaurant and night in the hotel.

Day 5 (Wednesday): City and lake of Batak

After breakfast departure for one day on the waterside of a beautifull lake- Batak. The church of the city is the only witness of the massacre of the inhabitants of this small town by the bachibozouk in 1876, which moved Victor Hugo and the whole of Europe. The surroundings of Batak are rich of Roman and Thraces remains.
Walk in nature. Lunch in the restaurant at the edge of the lake. In option:a boat ride on the lake. Return to Plovdiv. Dinner in a restaurant and night in the hotel.

Day 6 (Thursday): Free day

After breakfast we remain entirely at your disposal to accompany you if you wish to buy souvenirs or to use us as driver, guide and translator. Lunch and special dinner in a superb restaurants. Night in the hotel.

Day 7 (Friday): Plovdiv – Sofia - France

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport of Sofia according to the schedules of your return flight. If the schedule of the flight allows it, a walk in the capital will be proposed to you.
